Do you wish for classes more intense than the usual?
You can book our services for a full day of private French tutoring

Hi, my name’s Chris – you might recognize me from Youtube!
You can book my services for a full day of online tutoring. Scroll down to see how!
How does it work?
Booking a French tutor by the day is beneficial for those who wish to put the learning in top gear.
During this day of tutoring, we adapt to the needs of the student by means of a prior consultation on the phone. Whether you wish for a full day of conversation + feedback or to fast-track your very first steps into French, we can organize this for you.
We will meet online in our virtual classroom and speak for two straight hours before taking a break for an hour. In the afternoon, we will do 3 more hours to total 5 hours of non-stop tutoring.
After the day of tutoring, you will be given feedback on your level, as well as the skills we covered during our exchange.
What will we do?
Option A: You are a Beginner
As a beginner (A1/A2), Chris will ask you a few targeted questions to develop an understanding of your level. This includes pronunciation, your understanding of tenses and your spoken skills.
We will either start from zero or build on what you already know. We will revise the basics such as:
– The Gender of nouns
– Possessive articles
– Pronunciation
– The Present tense
– The Past tense
– The Future tense
– Negative Sentences
– Asking Questions
These topics will be presented to you with the support of our own PDF documents in a way that ensures maximum participation from the student. We will want you to speak from the first minute onwards.
Option B: You can already speak French
Students who can already speak some French are free to share their learning goals with their teacher prior to beginning, or to leave it all in our hands. We will quickly find the gaps that need filling!
We will alternate free-speaking and targeted learning and provide “on-the-spot” corrections while allowing the flow of our conversation to develop unhindered.
At the end of the day, you will receive a rundown of your current level with precise indications of your strengths and weaknesses in the form of a PDF document.
These 5 hours of conversation aim at developing your existing skills as well as discovering new parts of the French language.
This option is recommended to students of levels B1/B2/C1.

The lady in this video started from zero, did the exercises on the website and learned French.
She’s still doing French with us today in 2025 and we read classic French literature together in class.
With us, she found the necessary structure and a home to learn French.

Let me tell you a little story...
I’m the holder of a Masters in German linguistics and Literature and I will make the claim that I will never forget my German. That’s because my learning was based on understanding and reasoning. I can always fall back on it and self-correct.
I learned it this way because I was 35 by the time I heard my first word of German. My college did not properly explain that there weren’t actual classes to get us familiar with the language. We went straight to the literature.
At one point, I had 2 months over the Summer to explain German to myself before I failed my year. This is when I knew I had to find structure.
When I eventually spoke it at the oral exams, I discovered that practice didn’t matter. Speaking is not the problem. The real task is knowing how the language functions. I saw that speaking is not the tool by which we learn.
Everything you believe about French, I probably believed about German. The main concern being “I have no one to speak to!” I tried all manner of conversation partners which turned out to be a waste of time. The real need was to learn skills, not to engage in random conversations.
During our French classes, we will make sure that you know the foundational principles of French. Just as I did with German. There will be no clutter and we will go straight to the essentials. We will build a solid tree trunk on which the branches can hold.
One last thing. my German isn’t that great unfortunately. Not for lack of study but because I never found that magical teacher who was a native of English and of German. I never had that person who understood my world and theirs equally well. But this, I can do for you in French. I know your world of Engish and I know the French world as a native of two languages.
