Summary: We had our first talk on Dec 31, 2024 and I learned that Pamela tried several methods for 5 or 6 years. She never gave them 100%. She did Italki in person and tried other things besides. She felt her approach was too scattered. Pamela took French in high school. She has a daughter in France who speaks French very well. She has been there for about 6 years. Pamela would like to better communicate with her daughter’s side of the family in Languedoc. When speaking French with Pamela, I noticed gaps in her knowledge. She knows the main words to communicate but often skips over the details. For example she will know “ALLER” but not necessarily the tense. I noticed errors with Possessives, conjugation, the past tense and the future tense.
