Hi, I'm Chris. Head teacher at OuiCommunicate.

We're home to speakers of English who wish for a step up from traditional French classes by means of bilingual learning.

Our flexible approach to booking, as well as a "no class" learning method ensures higher results and considerable time saving.

I hope you enjoy your visit here and that I'll soon meet you for some French!

We can make your life easier!

Who are we?

How does it work?

A 40-class plan to cover French

Thanks to the Internet, there is no more need to be present in the same room to conduct a successful language class. There are actually many reasons why in-person classes are less effective, slower and quickly lead to becoming “hobby-classes”.

Probably not the best approach if you want to learn French with intent.

OuiCommunicate is a coursework-based language school. We have the French language available for you on our website in the form of worksheets, videos and quizzes.

You only pay for the 20-minute meetups with your teacher, in which we assess your understanding of specific parts of French.

Speaking French will gradually be integrated as you develop better tools. French will be taught to you as a speaker of English, with full understanding of your background.

As a result, you can expect to build strong foundations in French to become a confident speaker. You will have all the tools to grow and develop as an independent speaker of French.

Become our next "success story"!

The lady in this video is originally from NY and wished for us to help prepare her move to France.

Today, she is fluent and happily lives in France where she meets new people and uses French daily.

The “secret” to her success is nothing more than what we offer you: the same learning material and the same approach.

But don’t take our word for it: read the review she wrote for our Google Business page!

A word about San Francisco...

Dear learners of French of San Francisco, comment allez-vous? Little piece of trivia to start us off: French doesn’t have its own word for “tram” – we just call it “le tram”. But of course, it’s “streetcar” in SF isn’t it?

And “Golden State Bridge” stays the same. But it’s “le pont” in French, although we don’t say “Golden State pont” ! Some names remain unchanged luckily.

Looking around, there is quite a high number of language schools that teach English and Spanish in SF. However, it falls a bit short in the learning of French. That’s too bad.

Perhaps the thought of walking up and down those hills has put people off? All the more reason to learn it online and spare those leggies.

Did you know that ALL language classes in California are taught by French expats? We know this because we looked them up one by one from San Diego to Sacramento. We know exactly what they do and what they offer.

But we just push it a step further: we’re native speakers of English AND of French. And there’s no one in the whole of California who does what we do.

How cool is that? I’d say that’s pretty cool to be the “only one in California” to do something.

Most importantly, do you know why it’s much better for you when you learn French? Because as a speaker of English you carry a certain language logic within you. This interferes when you learn French, such as the accent you might have.

A “strictly French” teacher doesn’t know what it feels like to be a native speaker of English. Even if they hear the larger part of your mistakes, they will miss many others. And often, they won’t know how it relates to English.

Here’s an example: how does the future tense in English match up with the future tense in French?

Your typical FLE teachers are not trained to know this. But we do times a million. We know how every little word and sound matches up between English and French.

So there you have it, dear French students of San Francisco. You might say we’ve come to save you! Or at least propose the French classes that spare you from those hills!

I hope to see you soon in a class, Chris.
