How does it work?
In 5 easy steps, each student has their own study plan. Your teacher will recommend specific parts of our French program, which you then complete in your own time. When you feel ready, meet up again for an evaluation of your skills.
Why adult learners?
Two main reasons: if you are from the same generation as me, you remember customer service before the world became automated and AI-driven. It is the type of service that many of us still enjoy.
The second reason is relatability. We designed our French course according to a certain way of learning which we experienced in school and university and that speaks to our age group. The overall tone of the course is one that resonates with mature learners.
Younger learners – although welcome here – will be accustomed to other ways of learning. For example learning with smartphones or by presenting information in smaller chunks.
Our French course uses videos and exercises sheets that students can print out. You can use a pen to write down your answers. The explanations are given in a rather more traditional way, that makes sense to adult learners.

While we’re on the topic, the word Farmington leads itself very well to an impromptu French class. Since French letters actually refer to sounds we can easily know how it is pronounced. The “A” and “i” are always the same and it’s the last syllable that takes the weight. The “o” is instinctive which gives us the word “FarmingTON” with all letters clearly audible. Simple.
